The real cause behind the death of legendary actor Sylvester Stallone’s son remains a mystery to this day.
After hearing the shocking news about the unexpected passing of his eldest son, Sage Stallone, 36, on July 13, the famed Rambo star Sylvester Stallone was said to be completely devastated.
On July 13, a housekeeper discovered Sage’s body at his Los Angeles home. During a search of the residence, police found several prescription pill bottles near the body, but officers stated it was still too early to determine whether those had any connection to his death.
Sources suggested that Sage may have died four days before his body was discovered. However, that information has not been confirmed by law enforcement. Once medical personnel arrived and declared him dead, his body was immediately taken to the coroner’s office for investigation. Officials reported no signs indicating that the death was a suicide.
At the time of the tragedy, the 66-year-old star was filming at the Comic-Con set in San Diego. Shortly after the news broke, Michelle Bega, Stallone’s representative, released a statement on his behalf. She said, “Sylvester Stallone is devastated and overwhelmed by the loss of his son. Sage was a talented and wonderful young man. His passing is a great tragedy and a source of unimaginable grief for the family.”
A close friend of the actor revealed that upon hearing the news, Stallone was in complete shock — struggling to breathe and nearly collapsing in front of those around him. Braunstein added that Sage had even been making plans for his upcoming wedding. Therefore, his sudden death was an unthinkable tragedy for those who loved him. The lawyer emphasized that Sage was a busy young man with a bright future ahead of him, constantly receiving film offers and full of optimism.
Because of his positive outlook on life, Braunstein dismissed any suggestion that Sage had taken his own life. For that reason, he said, the cause of death would remain a mystery until the authorities released an official conclusion.
Sage Stallone was the eldest son of action superstar Sylvester Stallone and his first wife, Sasha Czack. After his parents’ divorce, Sage lived with his mother but maintained a close and affectionate relationship with his father.
